We had a great time this afternoon photographing an engagement session with Anna and Jeremy. We headed along the river a bit before scooting down Hood St and around the back of the museum where Jeremy spotted this photo op :-)

It was really cool to discover in the course of conversation that Jeremy is the brains behind Choptober! So he knows the guys from Interspeed etc etc, gotta love the Tron :-)
Can't wait to show you the rest!

It was a real honour to be asked to photograph Bronwyn and Michael's re-wedding yesterday...they were married 10 years ago and chose to renew their vows on their anniversary. Bronwyn and Michael are both award winning photographers from Darwin so, ya know, no pressure! Their four girls are just gorgeous and we had a lovely wander around the gardens. Thanks heaps for having us along...congrats on 10 happy years and all the best for the next 10!

I love the story of how Matt proposed the Ceinwyn...they were living in London and he planned a surprise trip to Paris and proposed to her under the Eiffel Tower in the misty rain. It doesn't get much more romantic than that right?
And then I got really excited because Ceinwyn told me how much she loves funky crops and grungy walls and *sigh* I was in photographer heaven!
I loved Matt's blue socks...

And I loved that Ceinwyn and Matt were willing to try out any crazy idea we came up with!

Thanks for having us be part of your beautiful day!

I feel like I had been looking forward to this wedding for so long (not as long as Bailey and Justin of course!), Kawhia is such a cool place from a photography point of view...cute old buildings, beautiful colours...just MMmmmm!
Bailey and Justin had planned to be married under the sacred tree but sadly the weather didn't oblige. In the end though, it totally doesn't matter; two people were married surrounded by their family and friends and it was good!

So then we headed off looking for sheltered spots for our photos. We found a few and we found some very un-sheltered ones too...Bailey and Justin (and their bridal party too) were great sports and willing to try pretty much anything. And we were really lucky to be able to still use most of the locations we had scoped out so despite the weather we have heaps of great photos.
Check out the gallery now up on Facebook.
Congratulations Bailey, Justin and Jesse, you're a beautiful family!

Today we had the honour of photogrpahing Marc and Aki's long awaited wedding at Mellow Manor. Aki is the first bride who has ever told me that her dream wedding day included a bouncy castle!

Congratulations Marc and Aki, all the best!
We also had a special guest shooter with us today, Colleen Kiddie came over from Tauranga to hang out. Thanks Colleen, it was great to have you along.

Apparently there was an accident and the power was off all over the place last night but I was so impressed with the way the caterers and the Rosenvale people just went to plan B and everything just fell into place. Food was cooked on the BBQ and a generator appeared and the show went on :-) Of all the things you think might go wrong on your wedding day...no power has never occurred to me. Nice to know the people who needed to had it covered.
Greg and Alicia are such a gorgeous couple. Greg says "When I first saw Alicia I thought 'Wow I wish I could get a girl like that' and now I'm married to her" then he cracks up and says "so be careful what you wish for!"

I love it :-)

These guys were gorgeous in the studio yesterday. We often have face pulling competitions to warm up for the 'real' photos but in this case I just can't resist blogging the warm up...

I think Grandma is gonna luuurve this one ;-)
